A lawn fertiliser is a material of natural or synthetic origin. It is applied to your lawn to supply one or more plant nutrients essential to the growth of your grass. Many sources of fertiliser exist, both natural and industrially produced.

In a lawn care scenario, fertilisers are either granular or liquid. The use of either depends on the time of year and the requirements of the grass. For example, during hotter weather a liquid fertiliser may be applied. This will prevent lawn burn whilst still supplying nutrients to the plant.
