Fertilisation is the act of applying a material to soils or to plants. The aim of which is to supply one or more plant nutrients essential to growth.

In a lawn care setting, fertilisation helps grass to establish and to grow. Applied as part of The Lawn Man’s regular treatment package it can improve the look of a lawn.

In nature, grass gets fertilised by animals. These animals graze on the grass and recycle it into the ground. On your home lawn, we mow our lawns. The act of mowing and removing clippings actually reduces the fertility of the soil. Plant material gets discarded. Thus, we need to apply fertiliser to keep the grass healthy and the grass green.
