Moss is a small non-flowering plant which grows in dense mats on lawns which are under stress.

It thrives in areas where grass struggles to grow. If your lawn is waterlogged, shaded, compacted or has a soil problem then moss will move in.

In England, it is a common lawn problem. This is not helped by our damp climate and low light levels during the winter months.

Removing it from a lawn is an ongoing battle, and can be hard work and time consuming. But it can be done in nearly all cases.
